NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Wapello Community School District Board of Directors will hold a public hearing at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, in the Board Room of the Wapello Community School District, Central Administration Office, located at 406 Mechanic Street, Wapello, IA. The purpose of the public hearing will be for the purposes of receiving input on the proposed 2026-2027 School Calendar in accordance with Chapter 279.10 of the Code of Iowa.

Academic Advising for the 2026-2027 school year is underway. Students, in grades 8-11, have actively been planning their secondary courses and exploring post-secondary options.

Last week WES kindergarteners celebrated our wrestlers, learned about hygiene and taking care of our teeth from our fabulous school nurse Mrs. Moore, and had a blast at recess with our 1st grade friends!
