We have been so busy in kindergarten that we haven’t had time to take a lot of pictures, but during snack and play center times, we can slow down, be creative, and use our imagination.

Mrs Nagle helped with a science lesson in Mrs.Ruth’s 4th Grade class. They studied how their muscles and tendons control the bones in their bodies. They made a model of their finger and practiced how their finger moves and how they move!

Daily Announcements
All 1st graders at Wapello Elementary have 2 classes each week with Mrs. Dunham, the Talented and Gifted Teacher. During these lessons, students work on developing critical thinking skills and are "guided" by 6 characters throughout the year. This week, students met "Dudley the Detective" who will be teaching them about being a good listener, a good observer (a "noticer"), and asking good questions. Parents, please ask your first graders what their lesson in TAG each week was about! Mrs. Shafer's class comes on Mondays and Tuesdays, and Mrs. Dopler's class comes on Thursdays and Fridays. This week, students made their own Detective Badges, which they proudly wore.
