JH volleyball schedule for home tonight (9/22) has been moved to Columbus. We are not certain when we will have power in town again.

This is a reminder that Thursday’s (September 25) volleyball at Wapello is a conference ran event. Therefore, Wapello passes will not be accepted. The only passes that will be accepted are the SEISC Conference Pass or State Admin Passes.

Violet Newton is our 1st grade, “Star of the Week!” She did a great job reading, “Wacky Wednesday!” Violet shared her dog, Oakley. 1st graders loved playing fetch with him!

The Indian Marching Band hits the road tomorrow for the Mt. Pleasant Marching Band Invitational. Performance time is 6pm! 💙🎶💛

Marching Band will be in Mount Pleasant tomorrow for their annual competition. They will take the field at 6PM!

Important update! The deadline has been pushed back to 9/19!

WHS is honored to announce that three of our students have received special recognition from College Board and Big Future as recipients of two awards.

Alexis Brown, William Parsons, and Callie Wagenbach have all received the School Recognition Award and the Rural and Small Town Recognition Award! This is a huge honor given to students across the nation!

To be eligible for these awards, students had to qualify by scoring in the top 10% of PSAT/NMSQT test takers in their high school, and the state's rural and small town test takers. Students also had to earn a cumulative GPA of 3.3.

A huge THANK YOU to Steve Emt and the Iowa Governor's Traffic Safety Bureau for presenting to our high school students. Students were able hear about his story and participate in activities.
