Congratulations to Wes Parsons for earning an Award of Excellence for his wind turbine project at the SEISC Science Fair today!
Each of our students did a great job on their presentations and represented Wapello well! #wearewapello #wapellotribepride

Crazy hair/ hat day! ♥️

Some Wapello Junior High TAG students are at SCC in Burlington today to participate in the SEISC Science Fair. Sixth graders Addi Strickland and Allie Schwartz did their project on how color affects people's perceptions of taste. Sixth graders Tycen Wright and Maverick Matthews explored the effect of temperature on rates of diffusion using Skittles. Seventh grader Wes Parsons made a wind turbine and explored whether or not wind speed impacts weight bearing. This is the first time any of these students have participated in a science fair, so we are proud of their willingness to try something new! Good luck, Wes, Maverick, Addi, and Allie!
