Mrs Mairet’s Foods III class conducted the “Burger Challenge” today in class. Each participant had to create their own recipe, cook their burger, design their plate presentation and serve their burgers to the judges. Be advised if you are in town, and see or hear sirens at the school, we will be running our drills in conjunction with the Wapello Fire and Rescue team responding to the building as part of the training exercise.

The fifth graders learned about the Dias de Los Muertos (Nov 1-20 and some of the similarities and differences to Halloween (Oct.31). They then learned to make traditional sugar skulls and decorate them. It was a tasty art project.
