7th grade field trip to The Homestead 1839. These kids worked HARD to get A LOT done.

Today Students, Staff and Family gathered in the WHS Gym for a photo and send off for Wapello Middle School Student, Emeline Dunham. Emeline will undergo a Kidney Transplant on Thursday from a living donor who is a former Wapello Resident and WHS Alumni, Keri Butler. Shirts were sold as a fundraiser for the families and students wore their #TeamEmmaKeri shirts today to show their support. After the photos were finished, students lined the halls to give Emma a chance to give high fives to all of the students in the halls as she left school to prepare for the transplant on Thursday. The entire Wapello Community School District has both families in their thoughts in the coming days for a successful surgery! Tonight's Elementary Music Concerts will be held in the High School Auditorium. For students in K-2, their concert will be held at 6:00 p.m. and students should be in the HS Music Room by 5:40 p.m. For Students in grades 3-5, their concert will be held at 7:00 p.m. and those students should report to the HS Music Room by 6:40 p.m. #wearewapello #wapellotribepride

The Wapello FFA Greenhouse will be open this week on Tuesday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and will be holding an inventory reduction sale. All remaining plants will be sold as a free will donation to the FFA. The Greenhouse will close for the season at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 24. All plants must go!
