Wapello CSD is keeping our Highland friends and colleagues in our thoughts as they deal with the loss of a student over the weekend. This student, the son of a staff member, lost his battle with a rare liver disease. Please keep Highland in your thoughts and prayers.

All Juniors, Seniors and their prom dates along with ushers and waiters are invited to attend this year’s Post Prom Party at the High School. Students must be checked in by 12:45 am. This year we will not be calling/texting parents letting you know your student has checked in or left early. If you would like to receive a call or text, please contact Rae at the High School or one of the committee members with your preferred contact information by Thursday, April 25th.

The Indians and Arrows Golf Team will travel to Winfield-Mt. Union to take on the W-MU Wolves in Boys and Girls Golf action this afternoon. Tee off is set for 4:00 p.m. this afternoon at Twin Lakes Country Club.

This Friday's Wapello Community School District Staff Feature Friday shines the spotlight on Mrs. Dayna Kinsey! Mrs. Kinsey is a 3rd Grade Teacher at Wapello Elementary.
Mrs. Kinsey is in her 21st year of teaching Elementary Education at Wapello Elementary. Mrs. Kinsey came to Wapello with 7 years of prior teaching experience in other schools prior to returning to her hometown to join the staff at Wapello Elementary.
Mrs. Kinsey holds degrees from Central College in Pella, Iowa as well as a degree earned abroad from Trinity College in Carmarthen, Wales UK.
Her family includes her husband Greg and children Ally, and Bryan. In her spare time, Mrs. Kinsey enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, boating on area rivers and lakes, as well as traveling and gardening.
When we asked Mrs. Kinsey what she likes best about working at the Wapello Community School District, Mrs. Kinsey responded, " I love that I am able to work in the same school that I went to elementary school in. I feel very fortunate to have worked with some fabulous mentors and friends. I have worked with so many great students!"
