Eric Smith and Matt Stewart were recognized and honored at tonight’s WCSD for their years of service to the board and district. Following the recognition ceremony, newly-elected board members Matt Smith and Dave Moore were sworn into office. In addition, the new board held elections for officer positions. These young patriots were just awarded as the winners of the local VFW coloring contest. They each received a $5 prize. Eli Gonzalez in 1st Grade and Linkyn Hanson in 2nd Grade. All students in those grades received a new pencil for their participation. Congratulations Boys!
Parents: Please watch for the Spring 2019 Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress scores coming home with your child in the next few days. There is an informational handout on how to interpret the results on the front, as well as your child’s scores on pages 2 and 3. All school districts in Iowa should have received their scores last week.
