📣📣📣Attention parents of both Morning Sun and Wapello mini cheerleaders! 📣📣📣
We're excited to introduce Mr. Hunter Brooks, our newest addition to Wapello High School! Mr. Brooks comes to us from Upper Iowa University, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Social Studies and was a standout football player for the Peacocks.
Mr. Brooks is joined by his family, including his younger brother who is currently a sophomore at Loras College and his parents who live in Illinois. When he’s not in the classroom, Mr. Brooks enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it’s hunting, ice fishing, or diving into a good video game.
We’re thrilled to have Mr. Brooks join our Wapello High School family and look forward to many successful years ahead. Please join us in welcoming Hunter to the Wapello Community School District!

First, the bad news...continued miserable conditions tomorrow. Now, the good news...Wapello was already scheduled to have an early dismissal. Okay, it's not much good news, but with conditions like these, we'll take what we can get!

Wapello Students and Staff,
We invite you to wear orange on Thursday, August 29, to honor the memory of Robert Adams from the Van Buren County Community School District. Robert, a junior at Van Buren County, tragically lost his life in a motor vehicle accident on Sunday morning while driving to work.
Although we may compete against the Warriors on the field, we join in mourning the loss of a student, friend, and family member.
The Wapello Community School District extends our deepest condolences to Robert's family and all who knew him.
The Wapello Community School District is excited to welcome Ms. Victoria Harris to Wapello Elementary this year, where she will be teaching 3rd grade!
This will be Ms. Harris’s first full-time teaching position after earning her BA in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Iowa.
Ms. Harris’s family includes her parents and an older brother. In her free time, she enjoys playing board and card games, watching sports, crafting, and spending time with family and friends.
Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Ms. Harris and wishing her a successful and fulfilling career as she helps shape the minds of tomorrow’s leaders.
2nd verse. Same as the first. Wapello will be dismissing early tomorrow. Elementary at 1:20. High school at 1:30.
Events at Wapello are starting to ramp up this week; here is What is Happening at Wapello for the week of 8/25-8/31.
