While in school, Brantly has participated in Basketball and Golf for one year, Baseball and NHS for two, Track and FFA three years, and played Football all four years. Brantly's future plans include attending Northwest Iowa Community College to pursue a career as an electrician and own his own business. When asked how has influenced him the most during his time at Wapello, Brantly sited Mr. Parsons. Because "[he] taught me how to work hard and how to become a better person every day." As for words of wisdom to underclassmen, he says "always do school work on time. It's a lot easier on yourself." Congratulations Brantly on your impending graduation!

2021 Senior Spotlight: Our second Senior Spotlight on this Tuesday is Chalee Solomon. She is the daughter of Nina and Jerald Solomon. After graduation, Chalee plans to attend the University of Iowa to pursue a degree in psychology, then get a master's degree in hopes of becoming a child/adolescent psychologist. The teacher she sited as having the most impact is Ms. Bostian. [Who].."has been the one teacher there for me since I came to the Jr. High in 7th grade. Her faith in me pushed me to become a better person and to strive for the things I had only dreamed of accomplishing. Her leadership and guidance is a very big contributing factor to my character today. I have gained emotional strength and confidence under her leadership and any student who has the chance to be mentored by her will not regret it. " As for advice to underclassmen, Chalee says "always try your best, some people will doubt you and say it's not possible, but if you focus on the finish line the race is worth it!" Congratulations and best wishes to Chalee in the future.
