Today was Mrs. Orr’s last day at Wapello jr. High. We wish her & her family well and will miss them so very much. May you bless your new community like you did ours. Thank you Orr's!

Kindergarteners had a great time decorating Easter eggs, and packing Easter baskets. The rainy weather didn’t stop us from going on an Easter egg hunt! We just moved it to the gym.🐰✝️🪺🐣

Wapello MS/HS Plans "My Hometown Day" Activities for Community Service
Wapello Middle School/High School students are gearing up for a special day of community service on Wednesday, April 29th, as they participate in “My Hometown Day” activities. The event aims to give back to the local communities of Wapello, Cairo, and Oakville, with students engaged in cleanup efforts throughout these areas.
Students will spend the day working on various tasks such as picking up trash, raking leaves, and sprucing up public parks and roadways. The initiative is part of a broader effort to honor “Earth Day” by contributing to the maintenance and beauty of the surrounding communities.
In addition to public spaces, the students are also offering their assistance to individuals who may need help with yard work. Whether it’s raking leaves or tidying up outdoor spaces, this service is being provided at no charge to residents.
Community members with projects that need attention are encouraged to contact the Wapello High School office at 319-523-3241 to arrange for students to assist.
The service project is a wonderful example of the school's commitment to fostering civic responsibility and environmental stewardship among our students.
