Wapello Community School students and parents are reminded by Superintendent Mike Peterson that summer vacation is going fast and that school will be starting soon.  Wapello Community School District’s first day of school is on Friday, August 23rd, 2024, at the start time of 8:10 a.m. for Jr. & Sr. High School and 8:15 a.m. for Elementary. If students arrive after this time, they will be considered tardy.  Morning breakfast is at 7:50 a.m. for both buildings and hot lunch at the regularly scheduled time will be in operation on the first day

There will be in-person registration for the 2024-2025 school year. The district has set August 5th as a day for individuals who need access to a computer or to have assistance through the registration process from 12:00 pm-7:00 pm in the High School Practice Gym.  If you miss the registration day, don't hesitate to contact the High School Office at 319-523-3241 or the Elementary Office at 319-523-5571 for more information about registering your student.

Online registration is available. Two components must be completed for the online registration process to succeed.  After signing into the PowerSchool site, click on the icon that says Forms; it is in the left-hand navigation pane. As you complete the tabs, the final tab is titled Pay Fees, which will take you to the Linq (Formerly Titan) Portal. You can log in and pay student fees on this screen. Required Fees will be assigned to your student(s). To pay optional fees (which may not be required for every student) within the Linq Platform, click on the store and select the appropriate fees for your student(s). This is also where you can purchase activity passes for students and/or adults. Once all the student information is updated, you will get a pop-up box that says pending approval, indicating the completed registration process.
